TERMS AND CONDITIONS
LW’S Equine and Pet Care – Equine, Pet & House Sitting Services
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of equine care, pet sitting, and house sitting services by LW’S Equine and Pet Care. By booking our services, you (“the Client”) agree to these Terms.
2. Services Provided
We offer:
• Equine care (feeding, turnout, mucking out, basic health checks)
• Pet sitting (in-home care, feeding, exercise, companionship)
• House sitting (property supervision, security, basic maintenance)
Services will be agreed in writing prior to commencement.
3. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
• Provide accurate and complete information about all animals, including behaviour, medical conditions, and dietary needs
• Ensure animals are safe to handle and not aggressive unless disclosed in advance
• Provide sufficient food, bedding, equipment, and supplies
• Provide safe and secure premises for service delivery
• Provide emergency contact details
4. Animal Health & Veterinary Care
• All animals must be in good health unless otherwise agreed
• Vaccinations must be up to date (where applicable)
• In the event of illness or injury, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you or your emergency contact
• If necessary, we are authorised to seek veterinary treatment on your behalf
• All veterinary costs are the responsibility of the Client
5. Key Holding & Property Access
• We may retain keys or access codes solely for the purpose of providing services
• We will take reasonable care of your property but are not liable for pre-existing issues or security vulnerabilities
• The Client must inform us of any alarm systems or access restrictions
6. Liability
• We are fully insured where applicable; however, we are not liable for:
• Injury, illness, or death of animals due to pre-existing conditions or unforeseen circumstances
• Loss or damage to property unless caused by proven negligence
• The Client remains responsible for any damage or injury caused by their animals to third parties
7. Aggressive or Dangerous Animals
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if an animal poses a risk to safety and this was not disclosed in advance.
8. Cancellations & Refunds
• Cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance.
• Late cancellations may incur a fee of up to 75% of the total.
• No refunds or transfers will be given for early returns from holidays or unused booked time
9. Payments
• A deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking to secure your booking
• Full payment is due 7 days before our care starts.
• Late payments may incur additional charges
10. Emergencies & Force Majeure
In the event of severe weather, illness, or other circumstances beyond our control, we will make reasonable efforts to arrange alternative care but cannot guarantee availability.
11. Insurance
We hold appropriate public liability insurance. Proof can be provided upon request.
12. Data Protection & Privacy
We will store and process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and only for the purpose of delivering our services.
13. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to terminate services immediately if:
• There is a risk to safety
• Terms are breached
• Payment is not received
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
